The Gatehouse Catering Facility

 We hope to be in a position to be able to start building the new Refectory on top of the Social Sciences block before 2013, subject to raising the necessary funds. The new Refectory will provide a full cooked lunch service with a range of nutritious, freshly prepared meals, using fresh local produce wherever possible.

In the interim, “The Gatehouse” was opened on 8th September 2011, with new catering equipment, counters and décor to provide much improved facilities and a fresh, nutritious and exciting take-away food offering, as an alternative to packed lunches. A great deal of care has been put into creating nourishing and varied food choices in line with the school's healthy eating ethos and our new food policy is available here.

The Gatehouse operates a Cashless Payment System which eliminates the need for boys to carry cash to school and provides parents with an easy means of controlling spending. Operation of the cashless system currently takes place through the school office; in due course we intend to implement an internet-based system where parents can load funds and view expenditure on-line.
