A Level Results 2011
Once again the A Level results for Elizabeth College Sixth Form pupils are outstanding. All pupils passed every one of their exams with 51 candidates entering a total of 151 A2 level exams and achieving a 100% pass rate.
Over a quarter of Upper Sixth formers gained three or more A*/A grades at A2, with an impressive 89% of the results graded A* to C. Half of the students achieved a UCAS score of 360 or more, which is equivalent to 3 A grades.
11% of entries were awarded the new A* grade (requiring a mark of over 90% in A2 exams) and these were achieved across 9 different subjects, most being in Maths and English. There were also some notable individual successes with one student achieving 3A*s and another two gaining 2A*s.
Despite concerns about the increasing competition for University places this year, the vast majority of College students have secured places onto highly competitive courses at the best rated Universities including Cambridge, Durham, Bristol, Exeter, UCL and Warwick.
